The parents team cruised to their second successive victory in the annual Parents versus Juniors fun match.
Thanks to all the mums, dads, carers and kids that turned out for the annual fun match at Hesketh Park on Sunday 26th August. And special thanks to Club Secretary Pat Lippiatt for umpiring and generally keeping order on the day.
Batting first the juniors only managed a modest total of 221 (starting from 200) in the Kwik Cricket format, thanks to some gifted catches and inspired field placing. The parents, starting from 150, eased passed the total with some unorthodox batting at times and two balls to spare, and despite some aggressive appealing and pressure on the umpire from the kids!
As a penalty for losing some of the juniors were required to man the barbecue after the match, which turned out to be not such a great idea.
Hope to see you all again next year!
